Irish whiskey is traditionally known for its smooth and approachable character. Many Irish whiskies are triple distilled, creating a lighter and softer spirit with notes of fruit, vanilla and honey. While single pot still whiskey is also famous, Irish single malts are increasingly popular and produced by distilleries such as Teeling and Waterford.
