Smoke Intensity 3-6

Whiskies in the 3–6 smoke range offer a balanced level of peat. The smoke is clearly present but remains integrated with flavours of malt, fruit, spice and oak. This style is common in parts of the Highlands and some lightly peated island whiskies. These malts deliver complexity without overwhelming the palate with heavy smoke.
