Smoke Intensity 7-10

Whiskies in the 7–10 smoke range are heavily peated and intensely smoky. These malts often show bold flavours of peat smoke, sea salt, iodine, charred wood and dark sweetness. The style is strongly associated with Islay distilleries such as Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Lagavulin. Ideal for drinkers who enjoy powerful, smoky single malt whisky.
